The Parish Council of Catholic Women (PCCW) is the name of the women’s group at Sacred Heart (formerly known as ALTAR SOCIETY or WOMEN GUILD. We are a very diverse group. We have area natives; recent newcomers; married women; single women; career women; retirees and stay-at-home moms. Though we differ in our life experiences, our common bond is our Catholic faith. 

We meet once a month, usually the third Monday at 7:00 p.m. Our meetings range from small group faith-sharing to guest speakers to dinners at local restaurants. We try to meet the spiritual, charitable and social needs of the women in our parish. 

The PCCW:

• sponsors women’s retreats during the Advent and Lenten seasons;

• supplies the church with bread and wine and other liturgical needs;

• serves as the parish Welcome Committee;

• offers support to Life Choices, a local organization that serves pregnant women in the area; and

• supports a variety of parish activities throughout the year.
